BOSTON AND ALBANY SHOPS ENLARGED

"Plans are being carried out by the management of the New York Central Railroad to create one centrally located headquarters for the Boston and Albany Railroad, by making extensive improvements at West Springfield Massachusetts,  and gradually closing down the shops at Rensselaer and Allston. A new roundhouse will be built just north of that now nearing completion at West Springfield. When the proposed enlargement of the shops has been made the facilities will be sufficient to repair on an average of thirty locomotives per month"
